What new AI features are coming up with new Android updates?
A first step towards a truly universal AI model Google recently announced a big update about their new AI model Gemini there will be an integration in their Google ecosystem and it will come directly to your smartphone in future Android updates. The update is already available for Pixel 8 pro, inbuilt Gemini is integrated into the operating system and it comes with some cool basic features as of now.
What is Gemini?
Gemini is an AI model like GPT, which is developed by Google, we have hard “Chat GPT” many times before, now Chat GPT is an AI tool, but no AI tools can work alone, every AI tool needs a brain behind it to operate, and that brain is called model, for chat GPT the model is GPT.
similarly, Gemini is the brain model and Brad is the AI tool that is going to work on the Gemini model.
Gemini has the capability to understand the world around us in the way we do and absorb any type of input or output not just text just like most models but also audio, code, image, and video. Gemini is better than any other model out there.

The new Gemini integrated AI update is only available for Pixel 8 Pro, and here are some cool basic features available, and eventually this will come to all Android devices. and later on, we are going to get more updates with interesting and powerful AI features.
- G-Board for smart replies: the new G-board smart AI feature can suggest smart AI-generated replay based on an ongoing conversation. For now, replay suggestions are very basic, but later on, it can be smart and suggest complicated replies based on conversation mood and tone because AI becomes good over time. As of now it only works on WhatsApp but sooner or later it will work with all apps.
- AI Integrated Recording: Gemini is now directly integrated into the new Google Recorder, if you record a long lesson or conversation, you can transcript it, and it can also give you the summarised version of the lecture in bullet points, and yes this type of app already available in the market you can simply do this thing using any third party app, but this is going to be inbuilt in your Android.
- More Integrated Google Apps: This is just a trailer google confirmed they will integrate Gemini in more Google apps like Google Maps, Google Chrome, Gmail, and Search.
- Brad In Android: The best part is Bard Google’s new AI tools are coming up in Android, so it’s like an inbuilt chat GPT in your Android. you can generate AI-generated text directly on your phone.

Another big update is Repair Mode,
This is kind of copied because pixel phone does have this called maintenance mode, but finally, it’s arrived in pixel phones and later might come in other Android device too, the repair mode.
This is very useful when you give your phone to the service center and you don’t want to give them access to your data, you can just simply turn on one repair mode where all the basic stock is available in your phone and all the other information like your email contacts photos and other documents will be gone. Also interesting if you restart your phone in the repair mode it again goes into repair mode and to exit you need to unlock your phone using a password.
How To Activate?
Gemini tool is coming built into the new Pixel 8 pro after the new Android update, and eventually, this will come to all Android devices. You can also see this in the new app list and to use this AI feature you have to enable the “AI Core persistent” feature. This will take some RAM from the phone because all the work is going to be processed on your device no internet is required.
